yeah we removed a cruel tyrant and delivered justice, but at the same time, we have created a whirlwind of instability. there's a civil war going on between two religions and our soldiers and marines are constantly being caught in the middle. and ironically, both sides don't like us being there. if anything is certain in history, a liberating army can quickly be seen as opressors rather than liberators when they overstay their welcome. i even gear that there were plans for iraq even before 9-11. is the world really any safer? i mean, the group responsible for 9-11 and many other attacks against america are still out there. bush says "stay the course" but let's face it, he'll be out of office and retired somewhere in texas when our military is still trying to clean up the mess he made. what was the point of starting this war? i understand why we went to afghanistan. but i question whether the iraq war was motivated by the war on terror or by some special interests. what's your view?

shouldn't is a hell of a lot easier. From the beginning up, the Bush administration became into certain and desperate to discover a reason to bypass into Iraq and end what the 1st President Bush began. whilst they might no longer get information, they synthetic it. Even in the previous 9-11, it became into sparkling to absolutely everyone watching the information we've been getting in, besides the incontrovertible fact that maximum persons stated "we are bluffing." and "they deserve it." If 9-11 hadn't befell, perchance they might not have been waiting to justify it in any respect.

Saddam put out a contract on George Bush senior and junior decided he would not be trying to get it filled again and the war with iraq was doable according to his good friends and we would be welcomed as liberators with the flowers ect. The only thing that they understand in that part of the world is the law of the jungle only the strong rule and a democracy given is one sure to end fast. The democracy would have worked if they had have had the courage to dispose the dictator themselves in the interest of freedom but it can not be given to anyone.

It was motivated by the 9-11 attacks and fear of WMD's. However, we know now that it was faulty intelligence from various agencies. Iraq had WMD's in the past, so he definitely hid them away --- possibly sent them over to Syria.
For those who say oil, that's ludicrous. All the oil that Iraq has wouldn't be able to pay for half of what the US has and will spend there. Also, do you think the world would stand around and let the US steal oil from Iraq? If the US wants to steal oil, it could easily do it anytime it wants to. Just go to small oil rich country called Kuwait.

Regardless, we're there and now we need to clean it up. People I love are there doing their job. Stop crying about why and start discussing, "what now?"

we went there to get so called weapons of mass destruction, that we have yet to find, but i think the main reason that we went there was so bush could get Saddam, because his father was trying to get this guy way back when he was in office, quite personally i think it is a complete waste.

we wanted to avoid another 9/11. If we had not invaded Iraq, another terrorist attack like that would have happened!
