do i need any cd's cuz all i have are ones for my vidoe card (upgrade) printer; spysweaper; nortan; also i rember my cd drive having to get replace do they need cd's? DO I NEED A CD THAT CAME WITH MY COMPUTER TO DO THIS? because i'm 90 percent sure i never got one
also i DO NOT have windows xp home edition cd will i need one of those?
also i don't have my internet cd anymore and i know i had one for that

Unless you somehow restore your system to a point in time before the drivers for all that stuff was installed, no.

for a system restore you dont ever need a cd. for a system recovery you might but for hps i think they back up the info to a the second partition of you hard drive its called D: if you have this then go ahead and do it

you do not need any cds or additional software to do a system resore.
