Some cities are like 80,000 people on each of 2 days. There must be some kind of screening process. Even if every audition lasted 1 minute and they worked without breaks they could only audition 1440 people. So what is the screening process that allows the horrid audition to get to them.

i think they have screeners- i think they have to let some kooks thru so people like me can laugh and will watch the first weeks

I dont think so. I recon someone chooses about 500-600 people for them to judge and the best ones go through from that! How could anyone watch 80,000 people in 2 days?? Thats amost impossible!!!

I don't think so and then again yeah because Simon will stop a person in the middle of a song that can't sing and tell them that ,that they just made an utter mess of that song and send them packing.

they have different sets of judges, it's like 3 stages before you get to the famous ones. THey just let a few crappy people through to trick the audience!

no they have a screening that other people look at also. they had that question on tv and that was the answer

first they sing for the producers, then if they make it past the producers they sing for the executive producer, and then if they make it past him they sing for Paula, Randy, and Simon.
