try Shel Silverstein, has several books of poems like "A Lite in the Attic" "Where the sidewalk ends" "Falling Up" they funny and easy for anyone to understand. also Edgar Allen Poe does lots of good Poems

How about "Anyone Lived in a Pretty How Town" by e e cummings?

It's fun, funny, and weird. And if you've never read any cummings, it's unlike anything you've ever read before.
