Hi there.

It's very simple.. just highlight the text you want to convert into a text box, and go to Insert menu, Text box option, and choose either Horizontal or Vertical formatting and that's it

To place the text box anywhere on the screen unobstructed, just move your mouse to the text box boundary till your cursor changes to a + (for way arrow), and right click and choose Format Text Box.

Under layout tab, choose In Front of Text, and OK. You can choose any other options as well.

Those pages were not made using Word. They were creating in a web page creating program, such as Microsoft Frontpage.

While it is possible to create those pages in Word, it would require understanding the HTML language and creating them line for line manually. Something only an experienced programmer would try to do.

You will need a web page creator to do make pages like those.
