Not onle are they real, they taste great!!!! I got one in the oven now with a little apple in its mouth. I pulled him out of his stump. He saw his shadow which means 6 more weeks of winter. So he's roasting while his replacement is being fattened up in case he happens to see his shadow.

Groundhogs are real. They are a burrowing rodent.
Ground hog is real. The Ruritan club near here used to have a ground hog breakfast the first Saturday in Feb ... it was good.

They're both real!
Groundhogs are an actual species though otherwise called woodchucks or marmots.
Ligers are crosses between lions and tigers and cannot have offspring of their own because of the differing chromosome numbers of their parents.

Yepp. Ever heard of the groundhog that they show on the Today show every year on February 2nd that pops out of his hole and determines whether spring has come or there is 6 more weeks of winter?
