I have heard that the President of Iran is just a spokesperson, an ambassador, and little more than that. Much like the Governor General Of Canada. That position is the official head of state of Canada, but really has no power whatsoever.

Who is really in charge in Iran? The president? Or the ruling council of clerics?

Does the Pres have any powers at all?

The president holds all the power.

thats why the younger generation is trying to throw him out of power.

thats why Bush isnt going to war with Iran, hes waiting for the current government to get thrown out of power by its more capitalist younger generation... which it will, within the next 10 years or so.
