They both relate to change - 1. to the difficulty of shaking off the past, 2. and 3. to the inability to control the future. Sounds like you might be going through an uncertain time in your life.
I used to have recurring dreams similar to 2. when I was in high school.

Well not sure if this will help or not but here's how I interpret your dreams.....
1. Chewing gum that gets stuck= something that you wanted in your life as a temporary thing but it gets stuck and you can't seem to get rid of it. You've tried changing and it is still there to torment you.
2. Spitting out your broken teeth over a sink= you have something in your life that you are trying to get rid of, something that is hurting you. But it seems to be endless and you can't get rid of it no matter how hard you try.
3. Brakes don't work until after red light/stop sign= you know you did something you shouldn't have done and you know you should have stopped but you didn't. Or you did, but you did too late. You haven't gotten caught for it yet but its still a reoccuring thing because your conscience won't let you forget that you did something wrong.

What it sounds like to me is that you still haven't completely come to terms with the passing of your parents, obviously it was an untimely passing, and you're still in a bit of shock. It also sounds like you feel guilty for renting out the house, tying that in with the delay of coming to terms, your thoughts are manifesting in your dreams, as if your mother were still here she would ask you why these people are in her home. You have been dealt a traumatic event, and you will need to take your time dealing with it. You miss your parents, that is why you are dreaming of them, and being so deep into the dream state, your mind is basically playing a guilt game with you, you don't deserve it, but this is a very common happening when one loses a loved one, guilt because you have survived someone else. We are not always thinking about who we will out live, and even when we do, it doesn't make it any easier when/if it happens.

1. There's a situation that you're having a hard time with and you just can't seem to resolve it. It's leaving a "bad taste" in your mouth.
2. There is a part of your life that you don't seem to have any control over at the moment. No matter how hard you try, you can't find an end to the torment.
3. There's something in you life that you're doing that you shouldn't be doing. You're living dangerously in some way, but you've managed to avoid the consequences so far.
Scary, huh??

Listen i think i understand now. Every dream you have (as you listed) has a problem. 1. Gum in teeth. 2. Getting teeth out. 3. can't put brakes on. Okay- every dream has a problem, but you turn out alright. You're never choked (1,2) and never hit(3). This means that all the troubles you go through, God will be with you. Please, believe in God. He is there. He watches over you and is omniscient. You can't put on the brakes and can't get your gum out b/c you're not letting God handle it. If you have another dream, it should be different.

Ummm 4 dream number one I think that it means you will be playing with something dangerous (like drugs or smoking or whatever) and you will not be able to get out of it no matter how hard you try, but you will be able to cope with it.
For dream number two, you will try to quit and you will get help and everything, but no matter what you can't seem to make it all disappear. You are falling apart inside.
And finally, dream number three might mean... well... i dont know since I think that dreams one and two are serious enough to worry about.
Those are just guesses.

i think the first two dreams have somewhat of a similar theme. i think it means that there is something in your life (inside you or outside of you) that you are unable to get rid of or change. you are trying but it is not working and it's frustrating you. perhaps you are not consciousy aware of what those things are...you may need to figure it out.
the third dream may imply some form of anxiety - situations in which you try to control but you are unable to...but in the end they don't end up in the worst way possible.
i am no expert, but i have a degree in psych...

Are you being forced into any decisions, relationships, or work situations that make you feel helpless? Is there something you don't like when you think about it deep inside to yourself? You are the dreamer and only you know if the interpretation is right. When you hear it you will recognize it and know. "Reoccurring" means to pay attention. Good Luck!! @8-)
