Static right earplug for ipod nano (2nd generation)?

this is a new ipod nano, (2nd generation), well, i got it for xmas but since the first time i used it, the right earplug has been very staticky if i turn my volume up past abuot half way. does anyone know how i can get new earplugs with out having to buy them and just get a free replacment? i tried looking on itunes.combut cant seem to get an answer. help!!

well, i think you should just buy a new pair of earplugs; you cant buy ONE earplug. as for a free replacement, if you have a warrenty, maybe go to apple.com under the support look to see if they will replace it, but i doubt it!
