Doubtful. This country is moving towards less freedoms, not more. Better protect tobacco before it's gone....it's a practice run before they take on alcohol again. Just look at how they've already reduced the legal B/A level for driving to well below buzzed....they've learned. If you drink socially now, you can't drive. Take it out of the social culture slowly, over decades, and most people won't notice when it's gone...at least not enough to protest over.

We got some of that stuff a growing down here in Texas.My old mule ate some of that thar weed and went plum crazy,last i seen him he were a trying to hump a cow. They don't need ta make to many things legal or won't be no need for us old judges and rope makers and that's my ruling.

Maybe when enough people stop smoking cigarettes. They will need more things to tax for money.
Don't you think that if it was legal we would have a better chance of keeping kids off of it? I think kids have a harder time getting cigarettes and liquor than they do pot. People that don't smoke pot now are not likely to smoke it if it becomes legal. I won't.

For medical purposes.....Yes, it's happening.....But as for a Netherlands-like legality, no.

Hopefully not, it would be a stupid idea to do so, we could never reverse the law either...(look at the Prohibition acts and the 18th amendment in the early 1900's)
It would create a HUGE problem.
