These are the things that i have tried. I have disabled my firewall because of the internet carrier. It has nothing to do with the server. i can directly download that gives me the option to save but all the ones that download on their programs. Ex: updates on adobe, updates of quicken, patches for games. that sort of thing. i have opened all he ports on my computer, i have disabled the firewall, i have upgraded internet explorer to #7 Help!!!!!!!!!!

You may have TWO firewalls on your system. One would be something like McAfee or Norton, in other words a "third party" firewall. The other firewall would be the standard Microsoft firewall, assuming you are running Windows XP. Kindly give more details, such as the error messages and confirm that you are running Windows XP with SP2.
