Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" is the best Rock song, year in year out, according to most.
Jimmy Hendrix's All Along the Watch Tower is another great.

Well it's to long for a CD quickie but if you like drum solos checkout Grand funk Railroad's TNUC off their double live album.Some real old school at it's best.
