No. My elephant nose grew to about 8 inches so your tank may be too small unless he is by himself. The rule for freshwater fish is inch per gallon, but larger fish require larger space. Elephant noses are not really hard to keep, but I would say that they are not for beginners. i think the diet may be alright. They don't eat flakes (unless starving to death). I fed my frozen bloodworms alot and he loved them (dethawed of course). Remember that they are nocturnal, so feed them a few minutes after you turn off the lights. Also, make sure there are plenty of hiding spaces for them since they like to hide during the day. My advice: move him to a bigger tank or move some of the other fish out. Make sure he is with other peaceful fish and no nippers like tiger barbs

Not likely.
1) the tank is too small
2) smaller fish like barbs can be nippers, elephant nose fish can't handle tankmates who bother them a lot
3) they are nocturnal and have a very hard time competing for food

Elephant nose fish are quite fragile and hard to take care of. They are electric fish who get around by emitting small electrical currents. You should look up more information on their care.
