I seem to have a better relationship with my mother-in-law than I do with my husband. My mother-in-law and I are planning to get a house together, with me and my husband. When my husband and I get into arguements she sides with me and it pisses him off. So is it a goo idea to let the mother-in-law move with us. She gets drunk on weekends but is still a good grandmom.

As a general rule, living with in-laws is NOT a good idea. Although it sounds like you have a good relationship with her, it sounds like her relationship with her son is a little rocky. Letting her move in will likely only accentuate the fact that she doesn't get along well with him, and will cause a rift between you and your husband -- not a good idea. The closest that I would let her move is next door... maybe a duplex? To me, that would still be a little too close for comfort.

It's great that you have such a good relationship with your mother-in-law, but don't let it be a detriment to your marriage. Don't let your MIL move in unless your husband supports it as well.

Finances, sex and then inlaws are the biggest cause of divorce. If you want to stay married don't stay so involved with her.
