when I got my divorce, I was making a lot more moneies then compared to what I make now. I am about to lose my home if I cant keep up on things. Is there a way to reduce my child-support or eliminate it without looking like the bad guy. She( my ex) is making monies now but not on paper. How can I use that in court to protect me so that I dont find myself on the street.

honestly, when you got the divorce you should have known it wasn't going to be cheap.
personally, i don't think you should pay less child support. B/c it's child support and in essence it's going to come back to haunt you.
I think paying an attorney for more court hearings etc., is just pushing you deeper in the grave.
if you can't afford your home, you need to realize that with parting ways with your wife (which may be a good thing) this comes along with the territory.
Before you are in total financial ruin, take this oppty to start a new life. Property values have sky rocketed and you may make a good chunk from the sale.
Sell your place and find a place, maybe a county away (driving distance) away from your kid. You don't have a spouse anymore to support you or help you through the tough times, even if its a shoulder to cry on. Got to do it on your own. Sell old stuff on ebay and start a life with a new attitude and ideas that may bring your financial situation in a better place. Good Luck.

It doesnt matter if she is making money or not. If she is making money, your child support will be higher.
Try selling some things. Any TOYs you might have. Motorcycles, 4 wheelers jet skiis etc. U know what i mean.
You gotta do what you gotta do to live and take care of your kids.
May I suggest a second job????
The courts will not reduce your support payment because you are now making less money.
They may even increase it if you go to court and attempt to get it lowered due to a lower payscale.
Especially if u electively quit the better paying job. You shoulda stayed put.
So, you are pretty much stuck where you are. Get rid of anything you dont need and work on a better paying job or second job until you make the money u did when u divorced.
Good luck to u.

child support is based on a certain percentage of your income, so go to court with an attorney. you will have filled out a financial worksheet showing what you make and how your funds are distributed. they will take a percentage of your gross amount (15% i think) that you make.

It is extremely difficult to reduce support unless you have miles of documentation. Get a good attorney.

Is your ex willing to lower the child support that she gets? How does she make her money?

you can go back to court and get a new judgment based on your current salaried, also you need to make the court aware of her income weather it is on paper or not, the court would do an account of her income verses her expenditures. you need to see a lawyer.
