I googled and definitely a good deal. What sets it apart is that it has up to 4 Gb of memory. Some higher priced ones only had 2 Gb max. So you have the option of upgrading. Others had where you can burn dual layer, but then i do not want to pay $6 a disk .

TIP-READ YOUR REBATE. I think you have like 15 days to send it in. I got mine back from Sanyo in about 2 weeks. Now that was fast. So if there is an Office Depot nearby, go in there xerox your stuff and go straight to the post office. And the day you buy it, have an envelope with stamp on it.

I think that deal does sound pretty good, however, I think you should be reluctant because of the new operating system. If you dont mind dealing with the problems that you are gonna have with the operating system instability go for it. Plus windows vista has a built in compliance checker, you can not run nearly all downloaded music or video's. It blocks everything. It is the most privacy invassive OS that you will deal with. You will need to constantly reload programs. Too many bugs. I dont think it is worth it yet to get Vista.

this is a very nice laptop heres why:
first it has the new type of memory called ddr2 this memory is much faster and more efficient than a regular ddr. it would take 2 gigs of ddr to compare to the speed of the ddr2.
the hard drive space is more than enough even for gamers that install 50 games.
the dual core is a definite plus since a double core runs much more efficiently than a single core. a 3.0Ghz pentium 4 single core is worse than a 2.0 Ghz dual core.
the widescreen is also very appealing to the eyes since all reproduction of widescreen movies will be at optimal resolution.
finally the wireless integrated b/g this will allow you to reciave internet wirelessly in cafes (if available and not password protected)

understanding merely english and welsh fluently i am going to bypass with accents. Accents in any language creates range and tells a narrative of your existence.. i imagine english with a french accent sounds more effective than french itself (even even with the actuality that the likelyhood that is merely me bias in route of a language i understand) i imagine welsh reminds me of my grandparents so as that is a comforting tounge to me.. i imagine english with a northern accent is sweet, because it is the accent I actually have ;) notwithstanding straightforward there is a great number of swearing the position i'm from so it in all likelihood would not be classed as "sweet" i imagine liverpudlian accent is rather sweet because it has the sing-songness. Irish and welsh accents are also eye-catching and Italian accents someway make all and multiple sound cultured and smart. I also love the indian accent

Looks like a good value for the money. It all depends what your going to use it for. If you are a hardcore gamer and play alot this is not the laptop for you. If you are using it for school or to surf the net and general stuff like that its a good value.

The specs on it look fantastic especially for the price. Plus Canons usually make pretty good printers. I own one myself. So if you have the money, go for it.

I wouldn't buy any laptop under 1000$. They are offering you a "free" printer for a reason, it sucks!
