True, the best way to earn 6-pack abs is through extensive crunches- you will never get anywhere if you do not run. Running is the key to 6-pack abs and will cut your result time in half. The reason; running burns the fat off of your stomach and helps build the rest of your chest and midsection.

Conversly, you do not HAVE to run if you don't want to, but if your starting to tone your body- then you mind as well do it right.

Lots and lots of situps with bent legs and nothing holding your feet down. Let the feet come up, no problem. When you get up to 600 or more sit ups you will have the six pack abs. When I did it, I crossed my arms over my chest to get them out of the way and not use them to help me up. Actually I stopped at 600 because I didn't want to go on. At the six hundredth sit up I felt as fresh as if it were the first sit up. After you reach 50 go for 75, then 100, then...well, take judo from some rough Koreans, like I did. You'll get abs and a whole lot of other muscles.

Eat a low fat diet, avoid carbs, protein and veggies are what you need to be eating. Exercise to burn off whatever fat you have on your bod. Do crunches. Protect your lower back, avoid situps. Crunches do it.
