First off, who recommended Queer As Folk. I wouldn't. :)
As a gay man I would recommend Absolutely Fabulous. It is not gay-themed, but it is hilarious to me, as a homosexual.

Will and Grace, Ellen, etc... I wouldn't recommend. They have their moments, but I don't really find gay humour or drama all that interesting because it isn't based on reality. And on the off chance you are looking for shows such as QAF for sex value, I recommend doing what I did. Go to the big leagues and purchase real adult films.

I know the representations of gays and lesbians in that show were not 100%...but I loved QAF. I also liked the British version of the show...I own both on dvd. and now that that series has ended, I love The L Word on Showtime.

Uh, the British run of Queer as Folk. It's less than two seasons, but....leagues better than the american run.

I agree that the British version of QAFolk is a much better series than the American version. I would recommend anything from the Bravo network.
