I actually had to look up the definition of solipsist to answer your question. I learned something new today. Yeah!

As a kid, I used to think that every stopped existing, unless I was there to witness it. It sounds like the basis for a cool Twilight Zone episode.

This is the first time I ever heard that there is a word for what I felt.

David Deutsch has the best refutation of the many refutations of solipsism around. Solipsism collapses into reality by the very nature of it's being. The solipsists unconscious mind is just another reality. Also solipsism can not be falsified, so Karl Popper also has a interesting refutation based on this premise.

Since you didn't define it, I had to look it up. Here's the definition for everyone who tries to answer this question after me:

Solipsism is the philosophical idea that "I am the only mind that exists".

And to answer the original question, no I am not a solipsist. That would be very delusional of me.

well I happen to believe that a tree does make noise in a forest if nobody is there to hear it.
I see proof of it happening whenever I go to the woods. Why then Should I feel only my reality is real.
