I watched them (Along with other disney movies) when i was little, but I watch these movies because of a girl i like. I watch aladdin, because she is indian, and I watch the little mermaid, because she was born around the same time it came out. I never worried too much about watching aladdin, since it is pretty obvious why i watch it, and it isnt so girly, where the little mermaid is a bit more girly, and a more creepier explaination. Plus, 2 days before her birthday, I watched Aladdin, and the night before her birthday, i watched the little mermaid

I think it's best to watch Disney movies well after all the hype has passed. I just recently watched Lilo & Stitch for the first time, and I laughed my @$$ off. And I enjoyed Little Mermaid. I generally don't like movies making too many major changes from the book, but that one deserved a happy ending. (the original story's ending was too sad)
So, not wierd.

Mine are probably The Little Mermaid and The Lion King, of the newer ones. Of the old ones I LOVED Lady and the Tramp, The Aristocats and the Fox and the Hound

I don't think it is weird. I think that it is ok. They are both good cartoons and who cares if the Little Mermaid is a bit girly! Be yourself and have fun doing it! And don't let anyone or anything tell you how to be. I think it is cool if a guy is willing to watch something that isn't "manly". And I think it is cool that that girl inspired you to do that.

I don't think it sounds creepy. Is she that much younger than you? I never watched these when I was a little kid and watched them later as an adult just out of curiosity. Maybe there is just something about each movie that you really like, maybe the story or the bright colors.

Both these movies are classics, watching them anytime of your life is nothing but enjoyment. Such movies are always fun and total entertainment. There is just nothing wrong in doing that.

Also, I am 26 and I watched "Pocahontas" some time back and liked it too.... Can you beat that. Hope it helps.

I watch Aladdin but only because it's really true that he whispers, "Take off your clothes," to Jasmin on her balcony. Also Jasmin is totally hot.

If you've read that deeply into watching a movie, you need to go talk to that girl.
