To those of you that actually know who this band is...
Does anyone know what the name 'dir en grey' means?Im just curious.

Well... They meant it to mean "silver grey-ish coin".... but the actual translation is "you in grey"... Not what they really wanted but it still worked out pretty well. Oh and if you're curious it's in german, latin and english.

Like the person above said, Kaoru said that it meant "greyish coin" in another language, a european one...forgot.

Kaoru says it's supposed to mean "grey-ish coin" but...I don't see that at all. =P

It's just a nonsense name... they're trying to sound German, or more accurately, gothic by way of German...

I've been led to believe it isn’t all that uncommon in the Japanese music scene…
