What I would like to see, is Syria step in and negotiate peace between the Shiites and Sunnis. Even now, I don't know that it will be enough, because I don't even think they know what they are fighting for anymore.

I also believe, due to our invasion of Iraq, that radical Muslims have moved into Iraq with their own agenda. It's pretty difficult to fight a war, when they people you are fighting don't fight the way you fight. If the Iraqis could unite, and take control of their own country, maybe the rebels would take a hike.

By the way, it's the Iraqis that are suffering more deaths than the US. While we have lost over 3,000 troops, they have lost over 60,000 people. The radicals are attacking their market places, their schools, their homes...so in essence the Muslims are killing Muslims...they must be very proud.

From the way things look in Iraq; even being a Muslim isn't enough, you have to be the right kind of Muslim; whatever that means. This is a great question. Radical muslims are a huge threat to the United States, but most americans don't seem to care and others are actively working to prevent us from defending ourselves. It really is a bizarre situation. I feel the US is in a very precarious position in it's history at this time. Americans are too preoccupied with their iPods and running up credit card bills to pay any attention to the threat.
