OMG NO!! Sounds like retard or bernard sounds bad. Why not just paint a big target on his back and hand the arrows out to shoot him!

Initially I thought it was horrible, but after saying it out loud a few times, it's actually not that bad. I looked it up at dictionary.com and it says that Renard, and the alternate spelling Reynard, means fox. I do agree with some of the other answers about mean little children and the whole rhyming with retard.

I personally think that names kind of weird, but if you like it, go for it!! i just think that when he grows up, he'll be made fun off. What about Rernard for a middle name?
