Ok, this is a serious question for all of you now.
I'm from Europe and I tried to understand the rules to American Football. I don't get it!!!!
How many of you actually understand the rules, honestly now???

not all of them, but I do understand MOST of them
What you need to do is talk with someone "yank" over there and watch a game (rent one if u can)and have this person explain it to you.

Being an American male you can't possibly grow up and not know the rules of football. Perhaps you could watch a game with someone who understands the rules and could explain it to you as it is happening. That's the best way. Once you understand it, you'll love it like most Americans do. By the way, the Chicago Bears are going to win the Superbowl tomorrow.

I grew up playing and watching the game so I understand the rules perfectly. My wife and I would love to take you and your family to a game if you ever come to America during the season. Only problem is we live in the LA area and we have no team here.

Having had 4 brothers, 3 of whom played football ( not pro) , I understand the rules. I have also frozen my butt off at many a game. lol

Understand them 100%. However, It would take you a good year of watching at least watching 2 games a week to understand it in detail.

i lived in europe too but now US!! dont you understand the rules to association football.. ie. the sport that Ronaldinho plays!!
Uh its kinda complicated actually.. too much to discuss in yahoo answers
but i understand the rules as ive lived here for over 8 years and I love sports and it gets only a little less coverage coverage than footie gets in Europe

i understand all the rules
it took the whole football season of 6th grade, and some of 7th, but i do understand it.....
you need to get someone who knows football really well to sit down with you and watch a game.....you'll get the general idea if you do that
