I accidentally rubbed my WHITE polyester-shell jacket up against my jeep today. I thought it was just dirt, but then when I came home to clean it up, it wouldn't come off. HELP!!!

Liquid tide and Oxy clean (in the blue squirt bottle). Put both on the stain then take an old toothbrush and scrub it. Let sit for 30 min. After the 30 min. put more Tide and Oxy clean on the stain and scrub with the old toothbrush again and wash.

My husband is a garage guy. He is ALWAYS out in our garage working on something. This works every time.

I use lighter fluid to remove quite a few things. Try it on an inside piece of the fabric to make sure it won't hurt it. I don't think it will. We've used it on car seats and knit pants. Otherwise just squirt it on the spot and rub it in then launder it. You may want to brush it or scrub it a little to make it disappear. My brother got redwood stain on a pair of knit pants. It took it right out. Good luck. Make sure you wash it afterwards. it's flammable.

Use those liquid stain or spot removers on the oil/grease and then toss into washing machine. Hope it works.

Start with a combination solvent. Follow up with mineral spirits or and oil solvent if necessary.
