Im starting to think that America isnt the best country anymore. I might have to move to Canada or something, so that way I wont be associated with losers.

Sorry to tell you but we didn't loose the war! We won the war but we aren't doing a great job winning the peace.
Of course it is a bit hard for a nation not included in a Civil War to do much winning. Those people don't want peace; they want to kill each other. By our trying to stop that we are putting our service people in harms way. Not to worry, our President is going to send in more troops & we will stay until the Oil companies are sure they have gotten all of the oil they can from Iraq. In fact, we may stay longer to assure that Saudi Arabia & its oil isn't lost to us.

After my recent trip to Iraq, I am even more convinced that the situation there is precarious, but hopeful. I see hope in the Iraqi people. I believe this hope will be the foundation of a new Iraqi society. Much remains to be done, and I think we need a plan to turn this country over to its citizens. I will continue to work with the leaders in our country, as well as leaders in Iraq, to find a solution that protects the future of Iraq, and the pride and dignity of its citizens.

America was weak before the war - the war disclosed it. This war is not a winnable one, just like Nam.

America used to be strong, the rest of the world caught up or are catching up.
That's the main reason I am pissed at Bush showing the world all our Achilles heels.
They thought we were stronger too. Now, more of them are taunting us.

I don't know about moving- I'll move if the christian right starts takng away more rights.
but we have lost- we entered a losing battle.
we're not doomed to be weak forever- but our military has been hit hard, our economy is dying, and our homefront is worn down. we just have to rebuild
