Ok please listen to me.
Anyone who says "You MUST be this size or this weight"....dont listen to them.
There is no ideal weight. There is only an ideal RANGE.
You are 5'4 and 16 years old, but you have failed to say how much you currently weigh. At your height, you could be anywhere from a size 4 to a size 12 and be healthy. Dont say "Oh a 4 is way smaller than a 12, thats what I want"
It shouldnt be about the number, or the size of your waist. Its about the size of your heart and spirit and how much love you have for your body. I am telling you from experience, body image is something that comes from within. It doesnt come with a certain jean size. So by thinking "I will love myself as soon as I lose 15 more pounds" doesnt work. Once you do lose that, you will only want to lose 15 more because you will fail to see anything other than the internal mental image you have created.
So what SHOULD you look like? Like a confident, beautiful, intelligent, caring, kind young woman. Who gives a damn what your jeans say? Are your hips and *** going to be the determination of YOU?
No!
Also, genetics play a large part in this. If you are a pear shaped individual, you may be a size 12 your entire life, no matter what your waist inches say or what the scales say. Its about the hip bone diameter, the "thickness" of the bones and your genetic composition.
So focus not on the weight and the scales, but on your Health. How are your blood pressure, glucose levels, pulse? Are they within normal limits? If so, then dont worry about the size of your jeans ok?
You are beautiful just the way you are.

There is no "Should" size. It all depends on your bone structure, body shape etc. I have very slim bones, I'm 5'5" and in a 7(on a good day). The numbers really don't mean a darn thing (they change every couple of years anyway) what is important is the health, not the pant size. You're also at an age where your body is still adjusting somewhat, so really, don't freak out. If you uber concerned about your weight, talk to a doctor or nutritionalist and disscuss it with them. Find something you like doing that gets you moving that you think you might be able to stick with. Also, muscle weighs more than fat, so the numbers on the scale aren't the perfect measuring tool either. Talking to a professional would probably be one of the better solutions.

The one that fits your body shape and size! There is no 'right' size, anywhere from a size 2 to a size 12 could be the right size for you.
If your weight is between 110lb and 140lb, you are doing good.
HTH : )

Well the real question is "What do you want to look like?" Not what others think you should look like. As long as your comfortable with your appearnace then that's all that matters I'm like four years younger than you, and I'm not like anywhere near skinny. But the point is no matter what you look like as long as your comfortable with what you look like, you'll look fine. because you'll be fine in ur own skin. And if you are struggling with your weight then just workout and go on a healthy diet (please don't starve ur self). Who cares what other people think you should look like. (Trust me I know)!

I am not sure on women's jeans. In the men's jeans they go by the waist size, and inseams. The inseam is measures by the inner thigh to the ankles.
