Due to MTV, there reality shows over the past decades and hard partying style does have a neagtive influence on children no matter what you think. Younger viewers look up to these people as normal adults and follow there actions, and then younger people look up to the other people (like a chain reaction).

SO, do you think that a full blown out boycott of MTV would work and help parents and some sensible teens (like me) that want to put a stop to this?

thanks for your time.

To be honest with you my opinion is that it is not just MTV. Look @ the Reality shows on network television such as the Simple Life where teenager's are taught not to respect work ethics, throwing bleach in a bar is o.k., etc.

Swapping wives show's kids that in these extreme home's things are allowed that would have never been allowed in my home growing up (Thank God). I personally do not like MTV and do not understand why it is so popular other then all the reality BULLCRAP!

I don't care for MTV but I don't think a boycott would ever happen. They're "too big" to stop and it's kind of a pre-teen 'right of passage' to watch the show. I do feel that the network is being totally irresponsible with what they show on the channel considering who their true audience age group is. They don't even show music videos anymore it's just one giant commercial.

It's a great idea, but I'm sure they would show Paris Hilton getting mounted or something and everyone of the simpletons would come flooding back.
