When I was registering for the SAT, they asked me to list four colleges that they will send the results to free of charge and I did, but now I wont be going to college until next year, so if don't list them now, and need them(the results) to apply to a college later, would it still be free?

Unfortuately, if you don't go to college this year, you can never go...

OK, just kidding!

This is not a big deal. The scores went out to the colleges and then you didnt apply, so they'll just file them away. Later you send the scores out to any college you want, but I think it costs about $15 for each one. :(

One thing you might consider is, many schools will allow you to defer your attendance. That is, you can apply, get accepted, then write them and say that for personal reasons (i.e. money) you need to defer attending for a year. Then you are accepted, you know where you will be going and you don't have to go through the process again. One year later you show up and start school.

No it won't be free, you'll have to pay something like 4 USD or something.
