Yes. Not only is the spelling bee on Valentine's Day, but I don't know if I should send my crush a valentine or what, and I don't want to be once again Valentine-less.

No, call me a miserable person if you will, but I don't see the point of valentines day, its a waste of time and money, and what is so important about telling someone on that ONE DAY that you love them? you have a whole year to do that, why tell or show them that you love them on that ONE DAY? That's just a waste of time, the 14th of Februrary (unless it's your birthday) is an unimportant day, as it is only 24 hours like the rest of them, it's nothing special. Its also a waste of money because its only around for one day, and there's no build up to is, as soon as the day is over, the shelves are filled up with the usual stock!

Sorry, but that's just my opinion, my girlfriend said she was "very dissapointed" because she likes it and (the way I see it) she wanted me to agree with her over it too! (despite me telling her I never liked it)

Hmm... Had some bad experiences with exs round valentines so obviously I'm gonna be a bit weary... it changes people and that scares me!!!

To me it's always been just another day. It's not a holiday so I'm still at work and i don't think i need one set day to tell someone i love them and visa versa!

valentines day is the same as any other only if you have a partner they may get you a card or they may forget if your single you dont get a card, valentines day last yr i forgot wat day it was altogether i had a car accident and it wasnt until i signed papers at the hospital late that afternoon i realised it was valentines day, but as far as i can remember, the sky was still up and the floor still down all day(cept wen i was in the car , but apparently it only changed for me and no one else)

If you fall for it and spend £5.99 on a single red rose, and £4.99 on a shite card, then you're a fool.
Just accept it as another day, with no real significance, and enjoy your love life the way it was yesterday, and the way it will be tomorrow.

yes because I get a card from my partner but I always want him to do something really special for me and he never does. Its just not in him to be that sort of person.
