Quality time is really important!~...so since you are low on $$ think about something that you guys really love to do together and go for that plus a few candles for atmosphere!! For example, my hubby and I are really low of $$ too, but we really love to do puzzles and board games together, so I am going to buy a puzzle and a fun V-Day movie for a cozy night in by the fire! You should change this to fit you and your boyfriend- get a romantic movie, pop some popcorn and cuddle up!

If you are looking for something really romantic- here is something that you and your guy can do together for each other or on your own...

1.) Each of you (or just you) is granted with a roll of film (take turns with the camera) and take pics of "things that remind me of you" or "Things that mean love to me", etc. Develop the film and pick out the pics you love the most.

2.) Both of you also start out with 2 identical frames or scrapbook albums, etc. Use the pics to make a loving and romantic V-Day gift for your special other!

My hubby and I did this last year and it was so much fun! heartfelt gifts always mean more...It also built up excitement at what the other had made for you! We display our gifts proudly in our bedroom!

Hope that helps!

How about a personalized Valentine card?
Find a small photo of the two of you.
Cut out around it in a heart shape.
Mount it on red paper.
Write something nice on the paper.
Find an old picture frame.
Mount your creation
Present it with a pack of chocolate "kisses."

make him a romantic dinner at home with lots of candles (doesnt matter if ur not a great cook, hell appreciatee the effort and the atmosphere. if ur a REALLY bad cook, have backup ready, but still try. make sure to present it in a way that he wont feel guilty if he doesnt like the food). or, if ur feeling really adventurous and the weather is nice enough, go camping, and sit together fireside!

Do you cook? Men love treats. Brownies, peach cobbler as the one gentleman suggested, turnovers, an apple pie, etc. You pick what he would like. And a homemade card with your pictures on it.

make some coupons for various favors such as: a back rub, home-cooked dinner, night out at the movies, etc. you can dress them up and decorate as much as you'd like with ribbons, twine, colours, and glue.

if you have a computer and a good library of music or know someone who does: make a mixed cd or two for him. one of lovey-dovey songs. one can be just of just fun songs that remind you of him.

good luck. and whatever you make, i'm sure it'll work out fine.

you should do a big card with pictures of you two and a letter or poem and put songs quote that describe your relationship. but you know guys usually don't appreciate stuff like that.
