Stay out of it before they both turn on YOU.

Well I would call you C then.
A + B is a negative.
A or B + C is a positive.
A + B + C is neutral.
You are the neutral creating fusion.
Unless you are all smart then you are squares.
That would lead to A(sq) + B(sq) =C(sq).

That is your answer. You and your friends are the Pythagorean Theorem.

It is either that, or you are friends to both people, keep it as that. Let them deal with their own issues and hang out with them separately.

Just don't be in the middle of the fight , because when you get yourself involved, you are often expected to choose a side, and when you do that, you will be accused of favoritism, unfairness etc. Let them get off at each other on their own.

Try writing a letter to both of them explaining how you feel stuck in the middle, and that you love them both and wish they would stop being mean to each other because it only hurts YOU.

Good luck!

Tell them they need to talk and deal with what ever is their problems. Also, don't get pulled in to the middle of it.

It could be that they just genuinely don't like each other and as hard as you try they aren't going to.
