I am 28 weeks pregnant and I have broken out with this nasty rash. It almost looks like acne but they are very very small. They dont burst like acne does they just bleed. And Itch VERY bad..I have it all over my back, neck, stomach, chest and legs. I went to the Dr. once before (I was around 13 weeks) and they told me it was just a reaction but they didnt tell me to what. Has anyone else had this? And what can I do to get rid of it? My fiancee comes home from an overseas deployment in 2 weeks and I dont want to look like I have a disease when he gets to see me. Please Help.

I'd call the doc. Have you ate something unusual or something that you usually wouldn't eat that you can remember. Might also be just a heat rash. Personally i break out on my stomach and ankles that same way and it's from where the skin is stretching some. But do please get it checked out by the doc. And Military wife to a soon to be military wife GL in the future and don't worry he'll just be happy to see that you're ok and that the baby is fine I know you want to look your best for him but he really wont care as long as you're both healthy! I promise!!! You just worry about you and that baby!

Hi im 30 weeks pregnant and yes i have small rashes on my body mostly on my boobs and neck, i have sensitive skin and being pregnant has made it more sensitive the doctor told me not to use soap because my skin is that bad. its causes me to have thrush a lot as well so i wouldn't worry just keep an eye on what your using in the shower and creams that you may put on.

I had this happen in my first pregnancy. Your body chemistry changes during pregnancy. They never actually told me what caused my rash either. You need to get some cortizone cream and also change to a more sensitive laundry detergent like Dreft. To this day I still have to be very careful about what laundry soap I use. The cortizone will help get rid of the rash.

when i was 10 weeks pregnant i had strep throat and was taking penicillin. I never had a reaction to it before, but now i'm allergic to it due to the pregnancy. I broke out in a rash also and they had to put me on somethine else until it went away. Are you taking some type od medication right now?

You may have rashes from just being pregnant. Try an oatmeal bath, it's good for things like that and it's natural. Try that until you are able to contact your doctor, quit scratching because that will only make it worse. If it gets too bad, just go to the emergency room?

I had shingles when i was preg. if the itching becomes unbearable go to the er and get meds for it. i didn't get it all over i just had a little spot on my back but it burned and itched very bad. the sooner you get it checked out the better chances of clearing it up will be.

Sounds like PuPPPs I had it too. It was horible. It doesn't do away untill after the baby is born. You can try taking Benadryl or Zyrtec. I ended up having to take steriods though. As an FYI though it is worth it.!!!

You need to call your doctor and let him know...you might have shingles. Shingles is caused by the same virus that causes chicken pox and are very similar. It is very common to get shingles while pregnant also.
