That is, I want everything removed so I can start over with my laptop as if I had just purchased it. How do I go about doing this?

you might be able to use the restore function to restore it back, but if you cant all you need to do is get a windows disk, install it, and install the drivers for your laptop.

do you have your system restore cd if so put that in and restart the computer if not then you can use windows xp too format the computer and restart but dont use windows xp if you dont have your drivers back up cd

You can try formatting your C drive if you use windows
