Is there an easy way to set up a blog so that people who visit the site can just post their comments without having to log onto a server? For example, on blogger.com, the only way to leave a response on a blog (I believe...) is to create an account and sign in information. I need to create a blog which is more user friendly than that and less of a hassel. If someone can provide some direction as to how to create this type of blog, i'd be very appreciative. Thanks!

Actually you can set your blogger so that you readers can leave comments without signing-in.
If I'm not mistaken you must set it to "Everyone can leave comment", or something like that.

However, I prefer to use Wordpress for it's flexibility and I suggest you to use Wordpress.

There are two ways to get WordPress:

1. You can get free WordPress account at http://www.wordpress.com and create blog there.

2. You buy your own domain name and buy your own blog hosting account. I host mine at http://www.bluewebhost.biz for about $7 a month.

You can find more information how create Wordpress blog in my eBook. Download it while it's free at http://aldianprakoso.com/FreeeBook

The best blog platform out there at the moment is Wordpress, they offer a completely customizable interface. Problem is though that you would need your own hosting package to host the blog.

Webhosts like Dreamhost allow you to install Wordpress in 1 click so you don't have to worry about setting it all up yourself. I managed to find a coupon that gives $97 discount for dreamhost if that's the avenue you want to go down.

You can't really do that generally otherwise nobody would know who left what comment. MySpace is pretty good. It's easy to use and more up-to-date than Xanga. Either way, just watch what information you put there, because there still are spammers and hackers. Oh, and it's free.
