See if your public health dept has a stop smoking class, they have a lot of info. The gum, patches, etc, deal with the nicotine problem but there are 1999 other chemicals in a cig. Good luck it is the hardest of all drug to give up but it can be done. Do you have a friend you can do this with? Hypnosis work real well for some folks, and if you don't make it the 1st time keep trying.

Just stop, tell your-self you are stronger in mind and spirit then the cigarettes. I smoked for 10 years and quit. Mind over Matter. Also look up on line or where ever what lungs look like after years of smoking and think of that every time you want to light up. Also if you have children, do it for them. Or light a wrong end of the cigarette when its in your mouth the wrong way. Get support from a friend. Good Luck.

I smoked for 12 years and was up to two packs a day during the last two of them. I quit cold turkey. It was easy for me because I knew that was what I wanted to do, to stop smoking. It's been several years now and I never think about smoking at all.

Quit cold turkey and get all the cigarettes out of the house, car, lockers and any where else you have them. Let your friends and family know that you are serious and ask them not to offer you cigarettes. My dad smoked all his life and quit cold turkey when you was diagnosed with emphysema, an irreversible lung disease. Quitting now while you are young will be easier and NEVER start back up.

It came to the point where I had just a few dollars one day. I was hungry, but I also wanted a smoke. The steak sandwich won out over the cigarettes. It was then that I decided that there were better things to spend my money and time on, like food.

Try a wellbutrin prescription. It's actually an anti depressant, but a side effecct limits craving for nicotine. It doesn't have adverse interaction with nicotine patches or gum or lozenges,so it can be used at the same time, increasing your chances.Take it for two weeks while smoking to build up levels in your brain ,then go cold turkey using nicotine supplements if necessary .SEE YOUR DOC!!hHe can explain this better than I

I smoked for 18 years. The last year I gradually went to wimpier and wimpier brands. When I was at the very weakest brand, I got myself down to about 6 smokes a day. Then I bought the weakest patch, used it for only a week and I was done. Totally and completely done. I celebrated 4 years of being a non-smoker just yesterday. Best thing I've ever done for myself. Best thing I've ever done for my kids, too!

Cigarettes are bad for you and smoking weed is bad too. if you still want to get high but don't want to smoke, get yourself a vaporizer and have fun. If you quit smoking tobacco, you'll live longer. If you quit smoking weed, you'll live longer but you might not enjoy it as much.
