i absolutly love this movie! its amazing how the music is just like...well sort of like what we listen to today... this movie is really good i can't what to see the 2nd one when it is out. my high school is doing it as our musical this year... i'm one of the jocks so thats pretty fun!

Theres a second one coming out? I didn't know that! That's so cool!
But I loved the movie. Mostly in part because it really helps people who have more than one thing going on at once and they feel they have to choose just one path because of their friends or family.
I do theatre and student council. Everyone told me I couldn't handle both and I should only do one. I loved them both so much I couldn't choose what to give up.
I kept them both. :) And everything has been amazing for me. I do both of the things I love and when everyone said I couldn't handle it...I proved them wrong...because I am the president of both the theatre department and our highschool student council.
You don't have to choose one dream.

I thought it was a poor excuse for a musical. Some of the songs were catchy, but the acting was horrendous. What bothers me, is that one of the actors in High School Musical is playing in the Hairspray movie.

I loved it, and i loved all the facial expressions on the faces, Loved the dancing and the music, very good for kids to learn about not placing people in clicks ect, that you dont have to just have one thing like basketball or musican or mathmatics major, ect
we bought the movie the same week after we rented it
