because they are useless lemmings, who have malformed personal identities and it makes them feel special to get close to a "celebrity"
the same reason they have 10k in credit card debt...they fill the void in their life with idealistic thought and/or shopping to ease their suffering.

Because it gives them a nice feeling of superiority like " I answered that famous guy's question,me !!!"
or because they think they might benefit from one way or another after they're answer.Most people whant to be famous and have lot's of money so whenever casual people hear the word money or famous and it comes in contact with they're dayly lives they just jump on to it as if the world would end.

they are hoping celebrities read their response and fall madly in love with them, go to their trailor and sweep them off of their feet. You know, stupid things like that....
