The second one is correct.
The first one sounds better though.
You can say it anyway. :)

The on-line dictionary I use most often lists it as follows:
stu·pid (stÅ«'pÄd, styÅ«'-)
adj., -er, -est.
Slow to learn or understand; obtuse.
Tending to make poor decisions or careless mistakes.
Marked by a lack of intelligence or care; foolish or careless: a stupid mistake.
Dazed, stunned, or stupefied.
Pointless; worthless: a stupid job.
n.
A stupid or foolish person.
[Latin stupidus, from stupÄre, to be stunned.]
stupidly stu'pid·ly adv.
stupidness stu'pid·ness n.
Note the adjective form is shown as -er, -est.
That means stupider and stupidest are the correct forms...

If you're going for the effect of the word stupid...stupidest is the way to go. If you want the emphasis of most stupid..."the dumbest" is the way to go
As in: That is the dumbest thing I have ever seen.

Both are correct, the first just sounds better than the second sentence.
