yes.i do and he does too.. because its nice to see that im the only one he texts with and vise versa :) and if u find your bf/gf texting cute things to someone other than u..then u got a problem..since that person doesnt expect you to look at his/her phone ..when they're not around just browse through their phone..if u dont find anybody else on there ..then u have nothing to worry about..and then later on tell him/her and joke about it..:)

Yes, but not suspicious or anything and he can read mine, anytime he likes, same as e-mails, don't make habit of it but if borrowed his phone for some reason as mine not charged etc may do, may not. I don't feel insecure but the way our relationship is would wonder what was up if he suddenly acted worried about letting phone out of sight etc, We have been married 15 yrs and has never been issue of thinking each other has secret lover etc, would point out though that is not first marriage for either of us and I think openness is important, however it is also easy not to mention things, just because we are busy or don't think of it, Is never an issue if say 3 weeks after event turns out he visited his mate and never told me, I may say how come you never mentioned that and am,always quite happy with reply along lines of you were asleep, on phone in bath whatever or slipped my mind. If there is trust then viewing phones could be seen as taking interest, not snooping.

I had a feeling there was more to one of my ex-wife's friendships. So I came in one morning from work and checked her call log. There was two calls deleted from it. So I checked her text and found no messages. So I checked her Sprintmail on her phone and found just one. It said" Is he still going to work tonight. Are you still coming over when he leaves? Glad I got to see you last night." Notice I did say ex-wife. Since then I have never trusted anyone I dated. I sometimes wish I had never checked them but then again I am glad not to be with her because she was a cheater. I trusted her completely till I got the feeling that I couldn't trust her and had never bothered to check anything of hers until the one time I did.

why would anyone do that? I would think they do that because they are jealous, curious, they don't feel good about themselves, or because their partner doesn't have time to talk with them or just doesn't talk with them enough. At any rate, if a person reads their partners text messages it sounds to me like it's time for them to sit down and chat with each other and maybe with a counselor.

only once, i was suspicious and as it turned out, had every reason to be. normally though, no, it's not something i do. i'd have to be pretty convinced there was something going on before i'd do that, and even then i'd challenge the person before digging for evidence.

I have never done this though I have had two bfs who did it to me and I can honestly say it kills the bond of trust.
