i think sqrt25/16 simplifies down to 5/4 but what do you do with the 2 outside of the sqrt? do you multiply 5/4 by 2??

It is kind of hard to communicate this kind of stuff with a key board, so I'm not really sure of what you want.

If you are looking for 2 times the square root of 25 divided by the square root of 16 then you get 5/4 multiplied by 2. Now I can get this to 10/4 or 2 1/2. You had it figured out.

Now if you are looking for 2 times the square root of (25/16), then you end up with 2 times the square root of 1 9/16 or 1.5625. This is not simple enough for me to do in my head.

What is it you are working on, change in flow at a different pressure or something like that?

yes you multiply the 5/4 by 2

yes which = 5/2

yes you have the square root part correct, so just multiply it by 2
