I know someone who works for Google and I know another person who had a job interview with them. Obviously tasks would vary from one position or department to the next, but I can tell you this: you can have two flat screen monitors at your desk, there are segways for use inside buildings, there's a store full of Google merchandise and employees get a least one item free, there are multiple gourmet cafeterias that are free for employees, there are big bins of snacks (candy, nuts, etc.) and drinks available at no cost and there are gourmet coffee stations located throughout the Google campus for starters. It's really more like a campus of young, progressive professionals, which sounds great to me.
