I feel it depends how trustworthy the country is.....
Mexico? NO---it would be counterfeit, or maybe baking soda pills.....same for most 3rd world countries.
Canada seems trustworthy, or Britain, or the Nordic countries.

I think what your asking is, shouldn't we be allowed to buy cheaper prescription drugs.
Absolutely, but there has to be some safeguards and quality controls in place. You don't want to buy medicine, even if it is cheaper, that doesn't work ...and you don't want you neighbor getting narcotics from Canada and run over your kid.
Certainly "big pharmaceutical companies" make a killing off of us..Every salesman pitches the "new drug" to physicians and millions of dollars are spent marketing the "new" drug....the whole medical system makes money off of sick people...something doesn't quite seem right about it?
But, what can we do?
Our (US) medical system is a business.
Sick people are cash cows for the system as it is. I don't have the answers...I have worked in the medical field for 25 years..and have seen it from the inside....maybe, socialized medicine is a good thing.
But, who would manage it...privatize it.....socialize it..the problems still remain the same...Greed.
Help your neighbor, lend a hand, peace and harmony...take care of the sick...altruism...
Certainly, we should be allowed to purchase prescriptions over the Internet.

It's called hypocrisy. The United States claims to be one of the largest capitalist countries in the world. Yet everyday we see legislation and corporations infringing on our great "capitalist" society. Despite the many non-capitalist measures and legislation that have been passed to deliberately distort and manipulate the forces of true capitalism in our own capitalism loving nation; we seem to be unable to stop ourselves from complaining when other nations pass similar measures. We also have a tendency to spread our love of capitalism to other countries—whether they like it or not [a policy that has helped to place us in the unpopular and difficult international position we are in now].
So, my answer is YES. Yes, we should allow capitalism to work naturally. Yes, we should allow freedom of commerce on the Internet. Yes, we should learn to live up to the ideals and expectations that we hold for other nations. So, rather than allowing pharmaceutical companies [or any large corporation] once again manipulate the system to allow them an exclusive market—completely free from competition—all of our answers should be YES!
I would like to conclude with a reminder that these corporations that attempt to close off the US markets to outside competition, have not been closed off from the rest of the world. Rather selfish behavior…very uncapitalist of us.

I truly do not feel it is a good idea, either by Countries and certainly not by Internet.
People are so greedy and evil you never know what you are taking. Yes, they may look like the pill you use to get at your local pharmacy, that doesn't mean it is. With all the hate we Americans seem to be gathering as each day passes, I would not trust it.

our drug company's sell to other country's a lot cheaper than to the us citizen, so in order for many senior citizens who have a choice between getting their medicine or food, by going to other country's and getting their medicine cheaper they can buy more food, how could any one object to that , my objection is why the hell can't the drug company's sell to Americas aged cheaper than to another country?? that is where the law needs to come in , these people are our own and the need us now as we needed them before, but, so many forget so fast or find an excuse like they should have saved their money when they were working, don't forget if you are lucky enough to live until you retire what do you thing will happen to you, or should i say unlucky to live that long,

Hi there,
Hey when you say prescriptions, then NO 'coz If you'r ill, you would like to see a doctor personally and explain things. It's a must for self satisfaction to see Doctor face to face.
On the other hand, if you mean Medicine and not prescrition, then I would say Yes 'coz U.S is not the only manufacturer of good medicine and it's not the only place with scientists and researchers!
What say?!!

Yes we should and isn't it sad that we have to resort to that. No one wants to buy from other countries but when you can buy at a fraction of what the same prescription costs you here, naturally that's what your going to do. It tells us all we are being ripped big time by pharmaceutical companys.
But, fear not, the Democrats will fix this. ha

PRESCRIPTIONS Yes we should allow them in from Canada because we have a free trade agreement with them NAFTA.
