You need to become more social, join a club that makes it so you have to be heard. I know it seems like that is not what you want or need because that is the problem. But like any fear, in order to overcome it you need to face it.
Then when you get friends and people around you that respect and care about what you have to say, not only will you be happy that you did and got over your fear you also as well get more confidence and it really helps your self esteem.
I was like that before, and honestly who gives a **** what people think, because people who dont, were the people that i used to envy because those arnt the shy people. And then you will become what you want.

Shy people usually are not confident with something about themselves thinking someone might make fun of them or be turned off. You need to build up a confidence and the shyness will disappear. People love to meet new people especially the ones that can hold a long and interesting conversations.

I used to be afraid of public speaking and get the jitters. Then I read what George Bernard Shaw said. He was also terrified of public speaking but said he went out and made a fool of himself so many times that he finally got used to it. I think of that and try to overcome the jitters. The same should work for shyness.

go behind the person who shouted that they were the ruler of the world and punch them in the head. No but seriously try this, every time u feel shy tell yourself "y do i care what they think", they are nobody they don't matter in my life so i can do whatever i want. that works with me sometimes because the reason im shy is because i care what people think about me.

Well, you can try going into stores and asking the salesperson a question or two about the products they sell. But don't waste too much of their time. You can also try librarians at your public library. Ask if they have a particluar book or how to research a particular topic. They probably won't bite you.

try to get more friends and be nice...if someone makes fun of you just ignore them...
if this is about want to tell the boy/girl u like them well i cant help you there because you need to just tell the person and if their response is good then that's good if its not good then just move on.. its that simple

I'm shy too, but I just say f*** it. You only live once and make the most of your life. Life is too important to just sit back. Stand and be noticed, speak and have people listen. You control your "shyness" it does not control you.

start of by listening to music...it'll get your mind off shyness and the more you like a song the more youll sing it. If you have friends talk to them about your shyness problem. tell them to help. Volunteer in things that are open(example: school plays, talent show, selling things...etc) and try making new friends...this might help

Do like I did to overcome mine: get into situations where one must stand in front of others in order to succeed, such as teaching.

Try to put yourself out there everyday. Let people know who you are and what you think.
