It's perfectly normal for your periods to be irregular at first and may take a year to become regular. If you haven't been having sex, or gotten into any heavy petting, necking, or make-out sessions with a boy, then you know you aren't pregnant and should rest easy. Worrying about when you'll start can cause a delay in starting.

yes..it is completely normal to be "irregular" when you are first starting to have your periods. My daughter misses a whole month or two sometimes which means she has her period once every 3 months. It should regulate sometime in the next year or so but if not, see a doctor to get the hormones checked.

ITS VERY NORMAL!!!! Relax, when your body first starts to menstrate it is trying to establish a pattern. This process can take months. If you are sexually active wear protection because a skipped period one month doesnt mean that you cant get pregant. It takes a while to get periods on a regualr schedule. The schedule can change through out your lifetime so dont freak. Birth control wwill help establish a crazy period if it doesnt settle within the year! Welcome to womanhood...
