On this screwed-up calendar we have? Oh, who knows. Perhaps a group of well-meaning individuals got together and ultimately agreed on February without considering the month's length. Perhaps a lot of ideas, breakthroughs and events happened in the month? Maybe a collection of birthdays, or memorable dates? I wonder why society designates a month to anything. Not just black history, but...isn't June something like Sexual Awareness Month...or something?

Anyhow, that's my two shillings

Which is a heck of lot longer than Lithuanian History Month..... It is an illusion -- two maybe three days is a minor difference and one can always argue that blacks can accomplish more in a month than non blacks also the blacks get all the prime time spots; Superbowl & Probowl commercials tie in with black history month plus there is Mardi Gras and what would Valentines Day be without Chocolate?

Peace...

Well, how come no one freakin' celebrates Hispanic Heritage month? There's only maybe one program that might cover it and one commercial that addresses it. Everyone celebrates Cinco De Mayo as if it were Mexicos Independence or something..but its not!!! Many hispanic countries gained their independence in September including Mexico! Ok...sorry....I had to let that out.
