Men tend to enjoy simple stupid humor. If you completely turn off your brain, you can enjoy it too.

Well.. my dear.... it's called 'slap stick' humor.. and it was the type of humor that was popular in the old days.. just like the cartoons where the Wiley Coyote gets clobbered by an anvil or falls over the cliff... people find that funny.. - it's all a matter of context, and for some weird reason, people are 'wired' that way, to find humor in other people's silly mistakes or suffering due to lack of sound reasoning or thinking.... that's why comedy shows like The Three Stooges were a hit... even today, there are still shows like that on TV.. such as.. 'Jackass'.. where people pay to see people doing stupid things... or some shows where people compete to do silly things or completly insane things like... 'fear factor'... and such... you get the idea.. people find that entertaining..

I honestly think it is because people don't have to think when they watch it. It is what it is, physical humour. There were a couple funny one-liners, but mostly physical despair and as people we laugh as misery. :)
