Yes. I used to run a B&B that was 130 years old. It was haunted. The house that I live in now is haunted by a woman and her son! Nothing bad happens. They just like to make an appearance once in a while!

Three relatives have died in my Dad's house: Mildred, an aunt who originally owned the house (we bought it from her estate), my grandpa, and my Mother. So here's a story from each.
Shortly after my parents moved into the house, my girlfriend and I spent several nights there. We slept on the living room floor. A hallway seperated that room from the dining room, where a light was on. Throughout the night we'd see shadows in the hallway although everyone else in the house was asleep. We assumed it was Mildred. Oh, and if you left the toilet seat up, Mildred would slam it down!
After spending the last year of his life there, Grandpa died in the house. He fought death off until he was certain Dad had received his retirement and disability benefits, as prior to that they had been living off Grandpa's. Some time later, Mom was fighting with the computer while trying to finish her college homework. Finally she gave up, saying "Dad will finish it." My brother and I were the only others who knew anything about the computer so she asked if either of us had been on it. We hadn't and when we asked why, she told us what had happened. Lo and behold, that morning her homework had been completed!
Mom passed away about two years ago. Before her death, she was a frequent customer of any nearby Wal-Mart. So much so that for a Christmas gift one year my sister bought her a miniature Wal-Mart shopping cart. One afternoon my Dad and sister had gone to Wal-Mart and mentioned that Mom would probably be mad they didn't take her. Suddenly, that cart - which had been sitting on top of the refrigerator for several months blocked by other stuff and not moved by anyone or any opening, closing, or slamming the door - flew off and hit the floor just between them!
Another haunted house I've been in recently is my Grandma's. She passed away there about three years ago. Sunday dinners were always the best there, and staples of the meal usually included fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans. One day while I was there cleaning out some things left behind, I sat on the couch to take a break. Thinking about the times I've spent there throughout my life, the usual damp, musty odor of the now-abandoned shack was replaced by the fragrance of a Sunday meal being prepared.

I don't think I've ever been in a haunted house but the dorm I live in is haunted. People say the Ghost of a girl who used to go here hung herself in the 4th floor and that she haunts her old room and the elevator. The elevator stops randomly on the second floor all the time. I would know. My room's right next to the elevator. I don't believe in ghosts though. I just think the elevator isn't working right.

Back in 1969 when I was 16 yrs old,my friend and I went over to an old abandoned farm(this was in So. Calif.when all the developers were buying up farms and moving all the dairy farmers 40 miles east of the L.A. area.)We were poking around, exploring when out of the barn a lady floated out .She was see through but you could still see she had on a lavender purple dress. She never noticed us ,she just went the length of the barn and dissapated. It wasn't even scary, just surprising.A couple of years later we were playing basketball at this elementary school playground.Afterwards we sat on the lunch tables by the wall. The drinking fountain came on,stayed on for about 10 seconds and then you could see the handle turn to the left and the water went off. That did spook us and three other guys as well.

Apparently I lived in one once, but I'm not so sure. It seems difficult to say, even wehn reading the answers to your question, whether it was really haunted or not. I lived in a house once where there were strange occurences, i.e. the sounds of moving furniture or people walking around upstairs when no one was home. My brother felt hot breath on his neck once, like someone was breathing on him when no one was behind him. My sister heard someone calling her name once....and apparently felt her bed shaking and smelled some weird smells. I myself, lived in this house for almost three years and only heard some weird sounds, which freaked me out at the time, but could've just been tricks of my imagination.

The house across the street from where I grew up was haunted. It stayed empty for a long time and when a family finally bought it they tore it down and built a new one.

Yes, and no I wasn't scared and yes I was alone. On the shows where they show the people being in 'haunted houses' they are paid to act scared and some people making wooo hooo sounds are just for the camera mkay? BTW no such thing as 'haunted houses' it's all in your head the more you think about it the more it comes real.

Yes, I normally dont beleive that stuff, but there was a big abandoned house in the town where I grew up and no one could live in it because of all the unexplained things that happened in it. I went in it and I heard things and doors slammed shut and a wierd chill came over me that scared the heck out of me. I ran out of the house. There were car accidents on the road all the time within 1/4 mile of it. People just went off the road, for no apparent reason.
The town finally burned it down. When they burned it down it sounded like screams that came from the flames.
The car accidents stopped.

Yes, my grandparents land is haunted. It is an old Indian graveyard actually. There were 2 small indian children buried there, but were dug up when they were building the house. I've seen a lot of thing there that scared this crap out of me.
