I believe that a condo and a townhouse are the same, with the sole exception being that a condo is one floor and a townhouse is two or more floors. Townhouses are the most expensive of the three, with condos being second. How much they cost depends on where you are looking.

'Not sure if you'll like my answer since I don't know the average rentals but I CAN tell you this:

A condo is like a larger apartment-even though it looks like a home.
Apartment is a small living area.
A townhome is like a tall house. It's so tall because it has limited ground area so it's built sort stacked up on top of each other.

Not what you think-but to me, condos and apartments are better to buy than townhouses. Townhouses look crowded together. They are very close and you're better off buying a condo or apartment out of the 3. I think they are nicer. With a house as big as townhouse you need privacy.

Apartments, cheapest
Condos - more
Townhouses - most
These are usually and do not factor in the city , area or type of development of each as some apartments could be 3X what a townhouse goes for.
Your question lacked sufficient info for a good response.

it has nothing to do with size. but has everything to do with the type of ownership.

condo - you own the space between the ceiling and the floor and a common (undivided) interest in the dwelling and adjacent land owned by the community.

town house - you own the land your unit is on and possibly a portion of the dwelling (in the case of attached units) as well as common interest in the entire property.

apartment - do you mean co-op?
