Hucklebuck sang by many singer in the '50's but Frank Sinatra and others made it very popular.
It was a dance and a very popular fad for awhile. Jakie Gleason (Ralph Cramdon) was taught to dance this on a show by Art Carney (Ed Norton)...it was very funny as it was a very funny dance..
Hucklebuck
was originated by the Black Artist but got stolen from them a long time ago...like the song Freight Train was written by a black women and white performers kind of usurped the music.
I am a white guy ...all my life ...but give the black man his due.
